The kids and i had a lovely day before they left for the week to there Dads for the first week of the holidays. Grace wanted to make playdough so thats what we did. In one photo she has the goggles on, i asked her, "Grace why do you have those on". she said "Just in case any acid or stuff gets in my eyes". ok then...... She was very serious.
Alexander struggled getting his hands dirty but enjoyed . Luke thought the playdough was great. Of course tried to eat it but the salt soon turned him off i think.
We all enjoyed lovely french toast for lunch, one of Grace's favourites. All in all a lovely day together.
This week Alexander payed me a lovely compliment. He said "Mum when i grow up and have kids i want to be a parent just like you, you do it all right". Grace agreed with "Yeh me too" I felt so loved, but truely i certainly dont do it all right i just do the best i can. I have always encouraged the children to have a good respectful connection with each other regardless of there differences, and i know they do, they enjoy a really good friendship with each other and i can see them making the same connections with there littel bro which is really lovely. They will be a goood example to him i know.
Children love and respect it when you can come to there level, and they appreciate so much when you spend good quality time with them. Being a Mum by far is the best thing i have ever done and my greatest investment. Nigel and i know the best thing both of us have done is give these children back to the Lord. God loves the little children and he wants us to teach them how to love him. Because we have done this we see constant blessing in our life through the children. So Mum's give your children the greatest gift that you could give, give them "Jesus".

How lovely to be told that by Alex and Grace! It reminds me of that scripture in Provebs referring to the 'virtuous woman'. It says something like 'Her children rise up and call her blessed'. I agree with them! You're a wonderful Mum! Thanks for the insight also. It's a great reminder for me! Thank you :) xo
The photos are lovely Leigh. Sounds and really looks like you all had a delightful day. xx
You ARE such a good mum, Leigh!!! That playdough looks too lovely to play with! You are blessed because your children recognise and appreciate what they have in their mum.
Keep loving Jesus and you will continue to be blessed.
